Welcome to 'The Next Phase ...'

Welcome to anyone who has found me in my new little corner of blogland.

This blog should tell the story of what happens next after a lifetime of teaching ....

Two days into retirement and we were off for a few days in the Lake District.
Start as you mean to go on!!!

Glorious weather meant that a trip on the Keswick launch was a necessity.
A walk up Catbells has long been on my 'to do' list.
It was so hot we waited until the evening before setting off.
It was worth every step for this view.
It was a bit hot for Inca so we gave her a drink every time we stopped.
Keep going! Nearly there!

Eight o'clock in the evening on the top of Catbells.
My favourite view of Derwentwater minutes from our campsite.

Where shall we go next?
